Annual report 2024

Sport is Hope 2024 update

A Year of Growth and Impact, Sport Is Hope has had a remarkable 2024, transforming lives through the power of football. Our vision to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders using the universal language of football continues to guide our work.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Reaching More Young People: Daily after-school football sessions saw a significant increase in participation. Our partnership with Ntakke Secondary School flourished with talent identification programs, support for their Easter tournament, and engaging holiday training sessions.
  • Spreading the Word of Hope: We distributed 150 free Bibles, thanks to the generosity of our friend Richard, sharing hope with young people in our community.
  • Inspiring Futures: Our trip to Kisoro was a highlight, connecting with Ugandan national team player, Bbobosi, who will serve as a motivational figure and potential future partner.
  • Expanding Our Reach: New partnerships were forged in Mbale, Mukono, Buwambo-Wakiso, Kasese, and Rwesande church, opening doors for future outreach programs.
  • Football and Faith: A three-day football training and leadership ministry at Rwesande church in Kasese engaged 215 young people, resulting in three powerful conversions.
  • A Festive Season of Football: Our Christmas tournament brought joy to 109 young people, both boys and girls, with Team Bayern and Team God Willing emerging victorious.

ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Strengthening Our Foundation: We achieved a significant milestone by registering with the UK Charity Commission.
  • We successfully re-registered our website with IONOS in the UK.
  • Looking Ahead: Reaching 10,000 Young People in 2025, Our ambitious target for 2025 is to reach 10,000 young people. To achieve this, we will: Build Stronger Connections: Actively seek new partnerships with individuals, organizations, and communities.
  • Empower Volunteers: Train more volunteers to support our expanding outreach programs.
  • Secure Sustainable Support: Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and prayer partners to ensure the long-term growth of our charity.

A Heartfelt Thank You, we are incredibly grateful for the support and dedication of our supporters, partners, and volunteers.

Your contributions have made a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our
community.

Shalom,
Allan Matsiko @Sport Is Hope
